"A Good Teacher is a Mother at School, and A Good Mother is Teacher at Home"
- L. Kothai Nayaki
I guess as the person responsible for a school, one would expect that the importance of getting good grades would be the dominant theme of my comment, but in truth, the responsibility of this job, the various problems that some of our students and faculty have undergone in the last few years and conversations with so many students and parents, have made me ever more aware that in the grand scheme of things these are not what really matter. Of course I would hope that our students develop their talents and abilities and we as a school have so much to celebrate in this area. But it seems to me that it is really important that we keep perspective and remember the things that really make life worthwhile. So what would I wish for our students? Love your God, love your family and those around you and love yourself enough to become the wonderful person God created - all the rest will follow! Thanks to all my parents for all their support and here's wishing for a great year ahead. H. Faridha Begam Vice Prinicipal Oxford Group of Schools |
